Meet Tracy Warner

Tracy Warner

Project Manager IV

Tracy Warner’s career inspiration began long before college, standing beside her father as he worked on wetlands that supported wildlife and restored the environment. This early experience sparked curiosity with water, land and the systems that connect them, and ended up guiding her career in civil and environmental engineering.

After graduating from Iowa State University, Tracy began her career in the Washington D.C. area, spending over three years designing land development projects within the Chesapeake Bay watershed. It was there that she deepened her interest in water resources, working on projects where improving water quality wasn’t just a goal, it was a responsibility. In 2003, having returned to Iowa she joined the City of Ames Public Works Department as a municipal engineer. Through her involvement with the Iowa Statewide Urban Design and Specifications committees, she helped develop the first versions of stormwater and erosion control standards, which evolved into the Iowa Stormwater Management Manual.

Tracy joined Eocene Environmental Group in December 2025 as a project manager IV, drawn to a company whose mission reflects her own passions. The opportunity to collaborate across disciplines, steward land responsibly, and guide water resource projects from concept through construction made Eocene a natural next step in her career.

Tracy shared, “Each project takes a team and with Eocene we bring a knowledgeable, multi-disciplinary group together with outside collaborators to achieve funding, design, permitting and construction of projects that make a difference in people’s lives.”
